Garth Brooks Is First Inductee Into Live Hall Of Fame

It’s no secret that Garth Brooks is a great live performer, and now he’s received a pretty special honor. The singer was chosen to be the first act inducted into the newly-announced Live Hall of Fame.

“It’s a total shock and quite an honor,” Garth said when he was informed of the honor at the “Pollstar” Live conference. “I don’t think an entertainer is anything without the people who allow him to do this.”

As for the new Live Hall of Fame honor, Tim Leiweke of Pollstar’s parent company Oak View Group, said it will be “a place to honor artists who have made a huge impact on the live business.” He added, “So we are creating a new tradition here at Pollstar that is vitally important for our industry and a priority for us going forward and that is a Live Music Hall of Fame.”
