The Navy & Gold Gala will be held Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the Penn Central Mall in Oskaloosa.
This fundraiser, hosted by the William Penn Athletic Booster Club, will be a fun-filled event with silent and live auctions, dinner, contests and raffle drawings. Proceeds from this year’s event will help fund the purchase of vans to meet the University’s transportation needs—benefitting multiple groups on campus including athletics, student groups, faculty, staff, student life, marching band, fine arts, and more.
“The Navy and Gold Gala has turned out to be a very successful event for our William Penn Athletic Booster Club. Now in our 4th year we’re humbled by the continued support from alumni, friends and community members as we anticipate at least 200 people to be in attendance. The entire night is a good time with raffle prizes, a live and silent auction and new this year we will be having a nightlong trivia game. We have passionate supporters in Statesmen Nation and an amazing community that continues to help make this event a success,” says Director of University Relations Nik Rule.
The event will be held at the Penn Central Mall from 5:00 pm–10:00 pm, dinner will be served at 6:00 pm. Many of the items have been donated by local businesses and organizations.
This year’s theme is “Roaring 20’s”. Guests are encouraged to participate in any of the evening’s contests, including the “Pinstripes and Pearls” Best Dressed Contest and Best Table Decoration. William Penn alumnus, Rick Wrisinger ’77, of Wrisinger Auctions, will serve as the auctioneer for the live auction portion of the evening.
Raffle drawings will also be held for a VIZIO® 55” Class 1080p 120Hz Full-Array LED Smart HDTV & 5.1 Channel Home Theater Sound Bar w/ Subwoofer & Bluetooth. Tickets are 1 for $5 or 3 for $10.
