Sweet Corn Serenade Begins At Noon

The SweetCorn Serenade starts at noon today in downtown Oskaloosa and offers a day of fun, music, and of course, sweet corn.

Sweet Corn Serenade runs through 9 pm.

Enjoy food, craft and product vendors beginning at noon. Kid’s events start at 4 pm and include Fun with Mahaska County Farm Bureau, YMCA, Community 1st Train rides, Balloons by Terrific Tom, Giant  Slide and pedal tractor pull.

Registration for the Hawkeye Pedal Pull is from 5:30 – 6, with the pull beginning at 6 p.m. Pie baking contest begins at 5:30 with registration at 5 pm at the bandstand. Bring one pie to  sell and one pie to judge — no cream pies.

Music by Diana Upton-Hill is sponsored by Bank Iowa from 5:30 – 7:30. Vanguard Cadets perform at 7:40 and the Municipal Band plays at 8 pm.
