Governor Kim Reynolds visited Sigourney Friday morning (12/14), specifically to see a new donut shop in town.  Oh Donuts is a unique donut shop, making whole grain and gluten-free donuts.  The Governor gave a thumbs up to their donuts.

“What a great concept..not to mention that all of the ingredients are organic.  The source all the ingredients locally and in the state of Iowa, which I think is amazing.”

Reynolds says her visit gave her an idea for 2019.

“I’d like to have a Startup Day at the Capitol and have start-up companies from all across the state come in and just talk about what they’re doing, what’s working, maybe what some of the barriers are so that the legislators have a chance to hear first-hand.”

Reynolds also got to try her hand at making donuts.  She says it’s a skill that would make her more popular with her grandkids.
