Pekin Community Schools were put on temporary lockdown Thursday (12/20).  Superintendent Dave Harper issued a statement on the school district’s website that they was a situation regarding a high school student and her upset boyfriend, who is not a student at Pekin.  The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department was notified and students were not allowed out at recess for a time.  Harper says the situation has been resolved.
