OSKALOOSA IS ONE STEP CLOSER TO A NEW RECREATION COMPLEX

Oskaloosa is one step closer to a new recreation complex

An early childhood and recreation complex for Oskaloosa is a step closer.  Monday night (1/7), the Oskaloosa City Council passed on second reading a 28E agreement with the Oskaloosa Community School District to build the complex.  Oskaloosa Mayor David Krutzfeldt says this will be a milestone for the city.

“It’s when the community makes a decision as to a direction that they want to go.  A lot of times that involves building a building .  But when you say that we are going to make a significant commitment to the future of Oskaloosa, we recognize the importance of early childhood education, we recognize how important recreation is in Oskaloosa. And so we’re willing to put our tax money and our efforts into making this thing a success.”
Krutzfeldt says the next step is making a design for the complex.
