Oskaloosa boys’ basketball lost to Bishop Miege Saturday

Oskaloosa High’s boys’ basketball team lost to Bishop Miege of Kansas City, Kansas 51-42 Saturday (1/26) in the Quincy Shootout in Quincy, Illinois.  The game turned in the third quarter when center Xavier Foster picked up his fourth foul.  Miege then took command of the game, with freshman Mark Mitchell, Jr. scoring 20 points to lead the Stags.  Ryan Yates had 18 to lead Oskaloosa.  The Indians are now 9-4 on the year.

Oskaloosa’s girls lost at Newton Saturday 57-26.  The Indians girls’ now 2-13 on the year.

Both Oskaloosa teams will be at Pella Friday night.  Coverage on KBOE-FM starts at 6, the girls’ game starts at 6:15pm and the boys’ game is to follow around 7:45pm.  And you can watch both games on KBOEradio.com.
