An Ottumwa man will stand trial this summer for two different shootings.  19-year-old Jacob Heckethorn is accused of first degree murder and attempted murder for a shooting last August that left William Shettlesworth dead and Clifford Collett, Senior injured.  Heckethorn’s trial for killing Shettlesworth starts June 25^th; then his trial for shooting Collett starts in late August.  Court records show Heckethorn will claim self-defense in both cases.
