The Oskaloosa Water Department is starting its spring cleaning Monday (4/22).  They’re flushing the fire hydrants in town.  You might notice low water pressure or cloudy or discolored water.  Water that’s cloudy or discolored is safe to drink, but the Water Department says you shouldn’t wash clothes if the water is discolored, because that discoloration could stain your clothes.  You can check the Oskaloosa Water Department’s Facebook page for information where fire hydrants are being flushed.  It should take two weeks to flush all the hydrants.
