Oskaloosa’s girls’ track team will have three relay teams running in this week’s State 3A track meet: the 4 by 400, sprint medley relay and distance medley relay.  And freshman Jordan Czerwinski will be running in all three of those relays.  Did she expect she’d be in the State track meet when the season started?

“Definitely not.  I definitely did not imagine making varsity, let alone be running three events at State, so it was definitely nice for me. It’s just a lot of hard work at practices and putting in the same amount that you wish to receive.”

Czerwinski will lead off the 4 by 400 and distance medley relays and anchor the sprint medley relay. The State high school track meet begins Thursday (5/16) in Des Moines.
