Alan Jackson is #1 on Country Music Album Charts

1946: Sitting at #1 on the US Country Singles Chart is “Guitar Polka” by Al Dexter. The track goes on to spend a grand total of 16 weeks on Billboard’s list as the “Most Played Juke Box Folk Record” in 1946.
