Jay Harms of Oskaloosa has been named the 4A Southeast All-District Softball Coach of the Year. The award will be presented at the Iowa Girls’ Coaches Association Annual All-Star Series.
The games will be played in Waukee, at the high school field, on Monday evening July 27th, 2015. The ceremonies will be held after the first game, around 5:15 pm. Harms led the Indians to an overall record of 26-7 this past season and a 2nd place finish in the Little Hawkeye Conference. Those 7 losses were all to ranked teams.
In his 30 years at the helm in Oskaloosa, Harms has a record of 672 wins and 471 losses. During his career as Head Coach at Charter Oak-Ute andOskaloosa, Harms has accumulated 885 wins and 556 losses.
