Everyone is invited to the Richland United Methodist Church at the Church Fellowship Hall on Wednesday, October 8. Dinner will be served from 5-7 pm. The Eddyville Historical Museum will be sponsoring their annual tailgate party prior to the EBF Homecoming Parade from 5 pm to 7 pm at the museum building in downtown Eddyville. Mahaska AM willl host a community blood drive from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, October 10 at 200 High Ave. W inside Center Court. To donate, please call the Blood Center at 800-452-1097 or visit and use code 5046 to locate the drive.

Soup Supper and Dance benefit for Big Mike and Cheryl McDonald will be held on Saturday October 11th at 5 pm in the Delta School Gymnasium. A free will donation will be accepted.

There will be a ham & bean dinner at the Tracy Fire Department on Saturday, October 11 from 5-7 pm. It is free will donation, with the proceeds going towards maintenance for the Bell Fountain Cemetery. 

October 25
Albia American Legion Hall is hosting a Welcome Home Soldier Benefit Saturday, Oct. 25. Tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for children 12 & under. A dinner will be held at 5 pm followed by entertainment at 6 pm and an auction at 7 pm. All proceeds benefit the Welcome Home Soldier Monument.

Mahaska Health Partnership will be hosting a free Medicare enrollment event on Monday, Oct. 27 and Tuesday, Oct. 28. To make an appointment for this free event, call 641-672-3342.

First Thursday Evening of Each Month:
The Safe Place Suicide Support Group will meet on the first Thursday evening of each month at the Celebrate Church, 1005 N Lincoln in Knoxville. Meetings run from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Pella Regional Health Center will hold an Adult Grief Support Group with Coffee, Conversation and Comfort on the 2nd Tuesday of month, from 9:30 to 10:30 am in the Lower Level of Comfort House... No reservation is necessary and this event is free and open to the public.

The Pella Regional Health Center Adult Grief Support Group "Moms with Hope" will be held the 2nd Monday of month at 7 pm in the Lower Level of Comfort House
