First Thursday Evening of Each Month:
The Safe Place Suicide Support Group will meet on the first Thursday evening of each month at the Celebrate Church, 1005 N Lincoln in Knoxville. Meetings run from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. This group helps support friends, families, and any loved ones who have lost someone to suicide. For more info call 641-891-5912 or 642-344-5681.

Diabetes WISE Classes are an educational course designed to improve the health and well-being of people with diabetes. Classes are offered on an as-needed basis; pre-registration is required. Call 641-672-3422 for more information.

Diabetes Support Group meets the 2nd Wednesday of every month in the Mahaska Health Partnership Cedar Bluff Learning Center (entrance #3). Attendance is free but registration is requested

Currently:
The Oskaloosa Public Library is now accepting donations of new and gently used Legos for our Lego Club. Lego Club is for kindergarten through fifth graders and meets the first Tuesday of every month.

Zero Gravity youth group of the Oskaloosa First Presbyterian Church will be hosting a Maundy Thursday communion service this Thursday at 7pm. This contemporary service will feature scripture, special music, and worship where everyone is welcome! The free will offering will be donated to Personal Energy Transportation Missions of Leighton. The First Presbyterian Church is located at 405 High Ave East in Oskaloosa.

The Gene Van Wyk 5K memorial Run/Walk will be held on April 19th beginning at 9:00 am at the Pella Christian High School. Registration is from 8:00 am to 8:45 am. Aliannah Myers benefit will be held at the Beacon City Hall. A soup supper for $3 a bowl will be held. Silent auction, 50/50 raffle tickets, and DJ services will also be held. All proceeds will go to the Aliannah medical fund.

Environmental learning center public information meeting will be held on Monday April 28th at 7:00 pm at the ISU extension office. The public is invited to attend an informational meeting about the Mahaska County Conservation Board environmental center which will be built at Caldwell Park.
