August 22nd through the 24th
The Claytownship Festival in Tracy will be going on during Friday, August 22nd through Sunday, August 24th. On Friday,
there will be a performance from Sleepy Hollow Band with door prizes. On Saturday, don't miss kids Olympics and Rock n Flames Band. And on Sunday, a special praise service with Larry Milledge Family.
August 24th through August 29th
The Oskaloosa Area Association of churches is holding free end of the month meals Monday, August 25th through Friday, August 29th at the Central United Methodist Church, located at 201 North Market in Oskaloosa. The meals will served from 5:30 till 6:15. For more information call 641-672-2079.
September 3rd
The Mahaska County Community is holding a blood drive on Wednesday, September 3rd from 3 till 7 pm at the Mahaska Health Parntership Education Room located at 1229 C Avenue East. For more information or to schedule an appointment call 1-800-452-1097.
September 6th
The Fall Festival HOg Roast will be on
Saturday, September 6th at the Community Reformed Church in Newton. A meal
will be served from 4:30 till 8. A silent auction will take place and ends
at 8:15 pm. There will be music entertainment from 5:30 till 7.

September 20th and 21st
The 27th Annual Quilt Show will take place at the Davis County Fairground in the Art Hall in Bloomfield on Saturday, September 20 from 9 am till 8 pm and Sunday, September 21st from 11 am till 3 pm. Admission is 2 dollars to win one of the door prizes and view over 160 quilts.
