CREDIT CARD SKIMMING DEVICE FOUND AT OSKALOOSA GAS STATION

Credit Card Skimming Device Found At Oskaloosa Gas Station

On Thursday, December 29th, 2016, at approximately 10:00 am, a technician working on a gas pump at the Kum N Go StoreĀ at 1201 North Market Street located a credit card skimming device while doing repair work on the pump keypad. The skimming device was found inside of the gas pump. Because this device was placed inside the gas pump, customers wouldn’t be able to see it. It is unknown how long this device has been on this particular gas pump.

Police are advising that anyone who may have used the pay at the pump feature at any gas station to monitor their credit card and bank statements on a regular basis and checking the tamper proof stickers on gas pumps to ensure they are unbroken before inserting debit or credit cards.
