Jasper County Sheriff’s Office Charge Man With Sexual Abuse

On July 26th, 2016 the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a sexual assault that occurred in rural Jasper County.

During the subsequent investigation, a subject was identified as a possible suspect.

On August 10th, 2016, after completing the investigation, Jasper County Deputies located this same subject, who was identified as Cecil Williamson, age 50, of Newton, Iowa.

Williamson was located at a job site where he had been working, in the area of W 68th St and Hwy F -48 W, Newton, Iowa.

Williamson was charged with Sexual Abuse, 3rd Degree- a Class C Felony. He was transported to the Jasper County Jail.

Criminal Charges are merely an allegation and all subjects should be considered innocent until proven guilty.
