On this day in 1978, Willie Nelson’s Stardust made it to #1, enjoying a total of 551 weeks on the charts.  The album as universally praised, and produced two number one hits for Willie, “Georgia on My Mind” and “Blue Skies.” In 2002, the album was certified quintuple platinum, and it was later inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame class of 2015.
