Luke Bryan and his wife Caroline have named their home in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, in honor of Luke’s late brother Chris, who died in a car accident in 1996. Caroline tells Traditional Home that the couple has named their four-story beachfront home “Snowman” is reference to Chris’ love of golf. Caroline tells the publication, “Evidently, Chris wasn’t a great golfer. Snowman became his nickname. We named our farm Red Bird Farm after Luke’s sister and wanted to honor Chris as well.”
- In golf, “Snowman” is a slang term referring to when golfers use eight strokes on any individual hole – not a term you’d want to hear on the links.
