WEVER, Iowa (AP) — Authorities say a man whose body was found in a southeast Iowa park was a homicide victim.

The Lee County medical examiner, Dr. Eugenio Torres, says 47-year-old James Nelson, of Fairfield, was killed by a gunshot to the head. Torres says investigators are treating the case “as a murder.” No arrests have been reported.

The body was found Feb. 11 in Indian Path Park in north Lee County.
