On this day in 2007, Taylor Swift received a Gold Single for her debut, “Tim McGraw”. The song was released as the first single from her self-titled debut album.  “Tim McGraw” peaked at #6 on the Billboard US Hot Country Songs chart and #40 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The song has since been Certified Platinum.
