In high school volleyball, Montezuma advanced to the Class 1A Region 7 title game last Thursday with a 3-0 sweep over Lynnville-Sully.  The scores were 25-18, 25-15 and 25-21.  Senior Riley Gatton had 13 kills and a service ace for the Bravettes, while junior Shateah Wetering had ten kills and was in on five blocks.  Montezuma improves to 29-6 on the year and will play New London tonight at Evans Middle School in Ottumwa for the Region 7 title.  We’ll have the game on KBOE-FM and the No Coast Network.  First serve is scheduled for 7:30pm; we’ll be on the air around 7:15pm.

In Class 2A volleyball last Thursday, Pella Christian advanced to the Region 5 title game with a 3-0 win at Pleasantville.  Pella Christian plays 4th ranked Sidney for the Region 5 title.  That game starts at 7pm tonight in Creston.
