The 2015 Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup now moves from North Carolina to the Midwest for Sunday afternoon’s Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway. It’s the second event in the Contender Round, which opened Sunday with Joey Logano’s victory at Charlotte Motor Speedway that guaranteed the Team Penske driver a spot in the eight-man Eliminator Round that opens November st at Martinsville Speedway.

Chase drivers have 1 won the fall race at Kansas Speedway seven straight years and eight of the eleven years the post-season format has been in place. The three non-title contenders who have won are Joe Nemechek in 2004, Tony Stewart in 2006 and Greg Biffle in 2007, Jeff Gordon, the Number-13 seed in this year’s Chase who is currently seventh in the post-season standings, is tied with Hendrick Motorsports teammate Jimmie Johnson for the top spot in Cup Series wins at Kansas.
