On this day in 2011, Lady Antebellum’s “We Owned the Night” took the top spot on the Billboard Country Singles chart. The song  marked the trio’s sixth career #1 hit.

“We Owned the Night” was released as the second single from their album Own the Night. It would end up being Certified Gold by the RIAA.
