OSKALOOSA BOYS' FALL TO KNOXVILLE, JV WINS 3-1

Oskaloosa Boys’ Fall To Knoxville, JV Wins 3-1

The Oskaloosa boys’ JV and varsity boys’ soccer teams hosted Knoxville last night. Knoxville jumped out to an early 1 to 0 lead, but Connor Swim countered with a nice goal with 4:19 left in the 1st half with David Anderson getting the assist.

The Panthers scored two second half goals to make the final score 3 to 1. Osky was playing a little shorthanded due to injuries and Head Coach Joseph Bell said his players played very hard, some of them in new positions.

The JV boys’ soccer team won 3-1 against Knoxville in the doubleheader. Kirkland Howard scored 2 goals for Osky and Isaac Parks scored 1. Michael Hendrickson, Noah Hoffman, and Dylan Grubb made sure that Knoxville was not able to catch up.

The Osky boys’ soccer team begins postseason play next Tuesday at home against Grinnell in the first round of substate. That game begins at 6 PM at the Lacey Recreation Complex.
