In February 2016, the Ottumwa Police Department initiated an investigation regarding a possible sexual assault that took place in Ottumwa in 2010.

On Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at approximately 1:15 p.m., the Ottumwa Police Department executed a search warrant and an arrest warrant at the Tryston Frederick Honeycutt- Blocker residence located at 436 S. Ferry in Ottumwa.

Tryston Frederick Honeycutt-Blocker, age 26, of 436 S. Ferry, Ottumwa, was arrested on an arrest warrant and charged with Sexual Abuse in the 2 nd Degree, a Class “B” Felony. Please note the following pursuant to recent Supreme Court rulings: “A criminal charge is merely an accusation and a defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.”
