OTTUMWA MAN MAKES PLEA IN 2018 BANK ROBBERY

Ottumwa man makes plea in 2018 bank robbery

An Ottumwa man accused of robbing two area banks has made a plea deal in one of those robberies.  Ethan Spray was one of three men accused of robbing the Pilot Grove Savings Bank in Packwood in June of 2018.  According to court documents, Spray has made a plea agreement and will plead guilty to a felony.  The court documents don’t say what that felony is.  He’ll have a plea hearing September 9.  Spray is still facing a charge in Keokuk County in connection with the robbery of the South Ottumwa Savings Bank in Hedrick last August.  Spray’s trial for that is scheduled to start September 10.
