According to the Iowa State Patrol, around 5:45 Friday evening, a pedestrian was struck and killed just west of Oskaloosa along Indian Way.

A 1998 Chevrolet S-10 pickup driven by 86-year-old Clyde Van Klaveren of Oskaloosa struck Joshua Latcham on an unlit portion of Indian Way. It is reported that Latchum was wearing dark clothing at the time of the accident.

The Mahaska County Sheriff’s department, Oskaloosa Police Department, Oskaloosa Fire Department, Mahaska Health Partnership Emergency Services, and 911 Dispatchers assisted the Iowa State Patrol on the scene.
