Schmitt, Bryant Wire Holley Iron Man Series In Webster City

Tom Schmitt (USRA Stock Cars) and Andy Bryant (USRA B-Mods) each led the first, last and every lap in between to capture their respective feature wins Wednesday as the Holley Iron Man Series visited the Hamilton County Speedway.

Schmitt, who came in as the points leader in the USRA Stock Car division, ran away with the 20-lap main event to register his third win of the 2015 campaign.

Polesitter Steve Jackson trailed in second at the end of the caution-free affair, with Elijah Zevenbergen taking third-his first defeat in four starts. Kyle Falck and Nathan Wood completed the top 5.

In USRA B-Mod action, Andy Bryant also started on the outside of the front row, led all 20 laps and notched his third win of the season.

Holley Iron Man Series points leader and fellow Kansan Dakota Foster was second, followed by Trevor Fecht, Brandon Toftee and Ty Griffith.

Andy Bryant won the Holley Iron Man Series USRA B-Mod feature.

On Thursday, the Holley Man Series moves north into the Land of 10,000 Lakes to Fairmont, Minn., and the Fairmont Raceway. USRA Stock Cars and USRA B-Mods will again split curtain time with the USMTS Modifieds.

Gates open at 5 p.m. with hot laps at 7 and racing at 7:15. General admission for ages 13 and older is $18, youth ages 6-12 are $5 and children 5 and under are free. Pit passes are $35. Fans can get coupons good for $2 off adult general admission at Casey’s General Stores locations in Fairmont, Sherburn, Trimont, Truman, Welcome, Winnebago and Armstrong in Iowa.

The USRA Stock Cars will take a couple of nights off while the USRA B-Mods pick up the pace on Saturday at the Deer Creek Speedway. The Labor Day Weekend of events will conclude at the Cresco Speedway in Cresco, Iowa, on Sunday with both classes back on the ticket.
