The Stephen Memorial Animal Shelter in Oskaloosa is holding an open house Saturday (12/8) at its new location at 1716 Pella Avenue.  Terry Gott with the Shelter says pet adoptions have been up in recent weeks.

“Our adoptions the past four weeks have been just fantastic.  We’ve been moving a lot of dogs and cats out of here. I think it’s got a lot to do with the new building; more people are coming out.”

The Shelter opened its new home in October.  That open house is Saturday from 11am to 4pm at 1716 Pella Avenue in Oskaloosa.
