A Tribute to Barry Manilow at the Bridge View Center

The Ottumwa Civic Music Association will present a tribute to Barry Manilow on May 6 at 7:30 PM at the Bridge View Center in Ottumwa. Enjoy Manilow’s hits that are known and loved by all ages. Hear Copacabana, I Write the Songs, Can’t Smile Without You, and others performed by Jim Witter, spot-on tribute artist. Admission is by season ticket or $15.00 at the door. Ottumwa Symphony Presents ‘From Russia with Love’

The Ottumwa Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. William LaRue Jones, will present their Spring Concert, “From Russia with Love”, on Saturday night, April 21 at Bridge View Center.  The concert begins at 7:30 PM with the option of joining in a Russian-themed Dinner on the Plaza prior to the concert.

A Women, Wine & Whiskey luncheon and workshop will be held by the Ottumwa Area Chamber of Commerce at the Bridge View Center on Friday, May 4, 2018 from 11:30 AM – 4:00 PM. Women’s Panel to include: Mary Stewart, running for a local state and senate seat; Sheri Lock, local philanthropic; Stevie Nelson-Witt, former military intelligence and Colorado Highway Patrol; and Meliha Cavkusic, Executive Director of the Ottumwa Housing Authority.

Family Fest at the Bridge View in Ottumwa

Family fest is a FREE single-day event held at the Ottumwa Bridge View Center to give back to the Ottumwa community, showcase and highlight STEM initiatives and activities, as well as other education and health/wellness components, and allows children to also have a bit of fun and be entertained. Donated Items Solicited for Annual Book Sale

(OTTUMWA, Iowa) – Donated items will soon be accepted for the seventh annual Pages for Pennies Book Sale in Ottumwa.

Donations of gently used books, CDs, DVDs, LPs, board games, puzzles, and sheet music will be solicited Monday, March 12 through Friday, May 11. Items can be dropped off in the lobby of Bridge View Center during regular business hours. They should be placed inside shopping carts located immediately inside the center’s main entrance. Please note, all donated items must be clean and in good condition. Those that are dusty and dirty or possessing a musty odor cannot be accepted. Donations must be brought to Bridge View as book sale volunteers are unable to make pick-ups.

The book sale proceeds benefit the Friends of the Ottumwa Public Library, Bridge View Center, Inc., and Greater Ottumwa Convention + Visitors Bureau. This year’s sale is scheduled for May 18-20 in the Expo Hall at Bridge View Center.
