Chris Young Reveals Christmas Album Track Listing

Chris Young has revealed the track listing for his new holiday album, It Must Be Christmas, confirming the all-star collaborations he hinted at last week. The album features a special guest appearance by Alan Jackson on “There’s A New Kid In Town,” a song that originally appeared on Jackson’s 1993 Christmas album, Honky Tonk Christmas, as a duet with Keith Whitley.  The record also features Chris teaming up with Brad Paisley for a rendition of “The First Noel,” with soul trio Boyz II Men lending their voices to another Christmas classic: “Silent Night.”

 

·       In addition, Young co-wrote two original songs for the album — “Under The Weather” and the title track “It Must Be Christmas.”

·       It Must Be Christmas will be released on October 14.

ACM Honors Performers Announced

Alicia Keys,Miranda Lambert,Chris Young, Dan + Shay and The Band Perry have been added to the list of performers for Tuesday (8/30) night’s 10th Annual ACM Honors.Also, Mike Fisher, Emmylou HarrisMartina McBride and Thomas Rhett will present at the ceremony taking place at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium.

 

·       Previously announced performers include Jason Aldean, Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Cam, Toby Keith, Maren Morris, Blake Shelton, Cole Swindell, Keith Urban and hosts Lady Antebellum.

·       The 10TH ACM Honors is an evening dedicated to celebrating the special honorees and off-camera category winners from the 51st Academy of Country Music Awards.

·       Hosted by multi-ACM Award-winning group Lady Antebellum, the two-hour special will tape on Tuesday, August 30 at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium, and make its television debut on September 9 on CBS.

On this day in 2011, Chris Young‘s sophomore album, The Man I Want to Be, was Certified Gold by the RIAA, selling more than 500,000 units. The CD was released in September 2009 and produced three number one songs, “Voices”, “Gettin’ You Home (The Black Dress Song)”, and “The Man I Want to Be”.

Chris Young Partners With CASE To Help Veterans

Chris Young is teaming up CASE Construction Equipment for the fall run of his headlining “I’m Comin’ Over Tour.” The partnership will kick off on September 5 with Young headlining the “Labor Of Love” benefit concert in Racine, Wisconsin. Proceeds from the concert will benefit Team Rubicon, a disaster response organization made up of more than 36,000 veterans and first responders, with the goal of helping the organization expand its veteran’s skills training programs.

 

  • Chris explains why he’s so excited about his new partnership with CASE. He shares, “The work they do with connecting military veterans to job and training opportunities in the skilled trades is close to my heart, and I’m glad to have the opportunity to support those efforts.”

Chris Young Announces First Christmas Album

The weather outside might not be frightful, but Chris Young’s new announcement is certainly delightful. After days of hinting that he’s been in the studio working on something big, Young has announced that he’s recording his very first Christmas album. Young revealed the exciting news yesterday (6/30) during a Facebook Live video that was shot in the studio.

The video started with only Chris in view as he prepped his fans for the announcement. Young then turned the camera around to show that the studio had been decked out for the Christmas holiday, including two of his friends who were dressed up as Santa Claus and an elf. Chris said in the video, “You guys know Christmas is one of my favorite times of year. I have so many Christmas songs I want to do; it was hard to narrow it down to this album.” The video can be seen here.

The release date for the Christmas album has not been revealed yet, but Chris promised more information about it as the holidays get closer.

Chris Young Extends His “I’m Comin’ Over Tour”

Chris Young has extended his headlining “I’m Comin’ Over Tour” into the fall with 25 shows kicking off in September. Dan + Shay will join Young for his September and October dates, with Dustin Lynch coming on board in November and December. Cassadee Pope is also set to return for all of his fall dates.

Chris Young And Cassadee Pope Help Celebrate Southwest Airlines 30 Years Of Service

Chris Young and Cassadee Pope helped Southwest Airlines celebrate 30 years of service in Nashville on Monday (2/22) by giving a surprise performance on the airlines newly-christened “Tennessee One” state plane. The two teamed up to entertain guests onboard during its flight from Nashville to Memphis with an acoustic in-flight performance of their duet single, “Think Of You.”
