Presenters Revealed for CMT Music Awards

The list of presenters at the 2017 CMT Music Awards has been revealed and includes top country stars as well as a few big name actors. From the Hollywood side, the presenters will include actors such as Ashton Kutcher, Jada Pinkett Smith, Danny Masterson and Big Bang Theory’s Johnny Galecki, while the music side includes presenters such as Reba, RaeLynn and Dustin Lynch.

 

  • The 2017 CMT Music Awards premieres tonight (6/7) at 8 PM ET live from Nashville’s Music City Center.

More Performers Added to CMT Music Awards

The list of performers at the upcoming 2017 CMT Music Awards has grown with the addition of Kelsea Ballerini and Little Big Town to the lineup. The show will include previously announced performances Blake Shelton, Brett Eldredge, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert and Thomas Rhett, with all-star collaborations by The Chainsmokers and Florida Georgia Line, Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood and Lady Antebellum with Earth, Wind & Fire.

Collaborations Announced for CMT Music Awards

Several all-star collaborations have been announced for the upcoming 2017 CMT Music Awards, including cross-genre pairings from Florida Georgia Line with The Chainsmokers as well as Lady Antebellum with the legendary Earth, Wind & Fire. The night will also include superstars Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood performing live together for the first time on any CMT stage.

 

·         These acts will join previously announced performers Blake Shelton, Brett Eldredge, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert and Thomas Rhett from Nashville’s Music City Center on June 7 at 8 PM ET. Additional performers will be announced soon.

BREAKING: CMT Music Awards Nominees Announced

Brett Eldredge appeared on NBC’s Today show on Tuesday (5/9) to help announce the nominees for the 2017 CMT Music Awards. Keslea Ballerini, Thomas Rhett and Keith Urban lead this year’s pack with four nominations apiece, while Carrie Underwood, Florida Georgia Line, Lauren Alaina and Luke Bryan follow closely behind with three nods each. Hosted this year by Nashville star Charles Esten, the CMT Music Awards will take place live from Nashville on June 7 at 8 PM ET.

 

  • Due to the Nashville Predators advancing in the NHL Playoffs, this year’s CMT Music Awards has been moved from the Bridgestone Arena to the Music City Center across the street.
  • Blake Shelton, Brett Eldredge, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert and Thomas Rhett were recently revealed as performers at the show, with additional acts set to be announced soon.
  • Fan voting is currently underway at CMT.com and continues until June 5.

Performers and Host Announced for CMT Music Awards

The first round of performers at the 2017 CMT Music Awards has been announced and includes Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett and Brett Eldredge. Nashville star Charles Esten has also been named as the host of the fan-voted award show, which airs live from Nashville on Wednesday, June 7 at 8:00 PM ET. Additional performers, presenters and special guests will be announced soon.

 

·         Nominations will be announced on Tuesday, May 9, and fan voting begins the same day at CMT.com.

·         Esten announced the news with a video posted on Instagram Monday morning (5/1).

Dierks Bentley Pays Tribute To Merle Haggard

Dierks Bentley paid tribute to Merle Haggard at the CMT Music Awards calling him the backbone of country. He then gave him a toast saying, “Merle Haggard, thanks for singing your stories, they were rough, honest, gritty and lonesome, and most importantly they were real. So raise a glass or raise a guitar, whatever you got near, to Merle Haggard, Ya’ll.”

CMT Announces New Category For CMT Music Awards

CMT has announced the brand new #SOCIALSUPERSTAR Category at the upcoming 2016 CMT Music Awards. The nominees for the inaugural #SOCIALSUPERSTAR award are Brett Eldredge, Blake Shelton, Jake Owen, Kelsea Ballerini, Lindsay Ell and Thomas Rhett.

Lady Antebellum To Team With EDM Again

During CMA Fest, Lady Antebellum teamed up with Electronic Dance Music (EDM) Deejay Zedd on a special collaboration that opened the CMT Music Awards, and now the trio is joining forces with another EDM act on a song that is set to come out this summer. Lady A will join EDM Deejay Audien on a song titled “Something Better.”

Eric Church, Reba, To Perform At CMT Music Awards

Eric Church will kick off his week performing live on the 2015 CMT Music Awards tonight (6/10), then he will take part in “Marty Stuart’s 14th Annual Late Night Jam.” Reba is also set to perform at the CMT Music Awards tonight, her first performance at the event in ten years. Also, EDM artist Zedd will team up with Lady Antebellum for a special collaboration.
