July 20th: On This Day

On this day in 2011, Jason Aldean scored his seventh #1 song with his cover of “Dirt Road Anthem.” The song would later get a Grammy nomination for Best Country Solo Performance. “Dirt Road Anthem” is the best-selling song in digital history by a male country solo artist with over 4 million copies sold, making it certified 4x Platinum.

The song marked the third, consecutive #1 hit off of Aldean’s fourth album, My Kinda Party.

April 12th: On This Day

On this day in 2011, Jason Aldean’s My Kinda Party topped Billboard’s Country Albums Chart for the third consecutive week. ┬áThe album included five singles, three of which went to number one, “Don’t You Wanna Stay?”, “Dirt Road Anthem”, and “Fly Over States.” The album went 3x Platinum, certified by the RIAA.
