September 15th: On This Day

On this day in 2014, EMI released Eric Church’s “Talladega” to radio. The song was the fourth single from his fourth studio album, The Outsiders.  Church has stated the song isn’t about the Talladega race but actually represents “that experience, whatever that is: the experience with the person next to you, and knowing that that’s probably a finite time in your life. It’s not gonna last forever.”

July 26th: On This Day

On this day in 2011, Eric Church released his third studio album, Chief. The album produced two number one hits,”Drink in My Hand” and “Springsteen”.  The album would receive a Grammy nomination for Best Country Album. The album has since gone Double Platinum.
