On this day in 2000, Jo De Messina’s Burn sold more than 500,000 copies in its first three weeks, earning the singer another Gold Album. The album was her first album to hit number one Billboard Top Country Album chart.

Burn produced two number one hits with “That’s the Way” and “Bring On the Rain”.

The album would go on to be Certified Platinum.
