BREAKING: CMT Music Awards Nominees Announced

Brett Eldredge appeared on NBC’s Today show on Tuesday (5/9) to help announce the nominees for the 2017 CMT Music Awards. Keslea Ballerini, Thomas Rhett and Keith Urban lead this year’s pack with four nominations apiece, while Carrie Underwood, Florida Georgia Line, Lauren Alaina and Luke Bryan follow closely behind with three nods each. Hosted this year by Nashville star Charles Esten, the CMT Music Awards will take place live from Nashville on June 7 at 8 PM ET.

 

  • Due to the Nashville Predators advancing in the NHL Playoffs, this year’s CMT Music Awards has been moved from the Bridgestone Arena to the Music City Center across the street.
  • Blake Shelton, Brett Eldredge, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert and Thomas Rhett were recently revealed as performers at the show, with additional acts set to be announced soon.
  • Fan voting is currently underway at CMT.com and continues until June 5.

The Grand Ole Opry Hosts Its Star-Studded CRS Show

On Wednesday night (2/22), the Grand Ole Opry hosted a star-studded show for everyone in town for the 3-day Country Radio Seminar (CRS) in Nashville. The event was held in Omni Nashville Hotel’s Broadway Ballroom and included performances by Zac Brown Band, Lady Antebellum, Trace Adkins, Crystal Gayle, Chris Janson, LOCASH, Cam, Michael Ray, Chris Lane, Carly Pearce and Dailey & Vincent. To make the show more authentic, the Opry even transformed the hotel’s Broadway Ballroom with its signature barn backdrop and famous microphone stands.

Performers Added To Dolly Parton’s Telethon

The list of performers at Dolly Parton’s Smoky Mountains Rise telethon has grown with the addition of and Montgomery Gentry to the lineup. These artists join previously announced performers Parton, Reba, Kenny Rogers and Alison Krauss, who’ll take the stage on December 13 to raise money for the Dollywood Foundation My People Fund , which was established assist those affected by the recent wildfires in East Tennessee.

 

·       The three-hour telethon will air nationwide on numerous broadcast partners, such as AXS TV, RFD and The Heartland Network, as well as select on-air platforms, including Cumulus Media’s NASH Nights LIVE.

LOCASH Turns Back The Clock For Their “I Know Somebody” Video

LOCASH is turning back the clock in the new music video for their single “I Know Somebody.” Set in the year 1998, the video was shot at small-town roller rink outside of Chattanooga, Tennessee. The video follows a timeless boy-meets-girl love story woven with clips of the duo’s Chris Lucas and Preston Brust performing in the roller rink.

LoCash’s “I Love This Life” Tops Music Row Country Breakout chart

Locash’s current single, “I Love This Life,” has given them much cause to be happy this year, as the song has taken the top spot on the Music Row Country Breaktout Chart. The guys said, “It’s an honor to see our name in the number one spot on the Music Row Chart! Thank you to all our friends at country radio and fans.”
