William Penn Student Projects Place in ICMA Contests

(OSKALOOSA, Iowa) – William Penn University Digital Communication students received five awards from the 2017 Better Student News Media and 2017 Better Student Television contests. The Iowa College Media Association (ICMA) hosts the annual contests. Students were honored at the yearly ICMA convention held in Des Moines on Feb. 1–2.

2017 Better Student News Media Contest
• First Place: Best Sports Feature (Print)

• Third Place: Best Sports Story (Print)
o Statesmen basketball makes a statement at NAIA national championship by Miranda Keeler
• Third Place: Best Page 1 (Print)
o The Chronicle April 2017 edition by Chronicle Staff

• Second Place: Best Corporate Video
o #WPDay 2017 – How Far We’ve Come
