Lineup Grows for CMT Crossroads: Earth, Wind & Fire and Friends

The lineup has grown for the taping of CMT Crossroads: Earth, Wind & Fire and Friends in downtown Nashville tomorrow (6/6). Taking the outdoor stage with Earth, Wind & Fire will be newly added performers Dan + Shay, Darius Rucker, Drake White, Martina McBride, Rascal Flatts and Sara Evans. These artists will join the previously announced act Lady Antebellum, who will also perform with the legendary R&B group on Wednesday (6/7) during the 2017 CMT Music Awards.

 

  • Fans are invited to attend Tuesday’s taping, which is being held on the corner of 5th and Demonbreun at 8:30 PM local time.
  • CMT Crossroads: Earth, Wind & Fire and Friendswill premiere June 23 at 10 PM ET on CMT.

Grand Ole Opry Announces CMA Fest Week Kick Off

The Grand Ole Opry has announced their star-studded lineup hitting the stage as they kick off CMA Music Fest Week with back-to-back shows on June 6. The two evening shows will include acts such as Carrie Underwood, Dustin Lynch, Del McCoury and Bill Anderson, with the kick-off celebration also featuring a free Opry Plaza performance by Parmalee earlier in the afternoon.

 

·         CMA Music Fest Week will also include previously announced performances by Blake Shelton, Steve Wariner, Trace Adkins, Charley Pride, Roy Clark, Oak Ridge Boys, Scotty McCreery, Brandy Clark and Sara Evans.

Sara Evans Announces New Album

After announcing the launch of her own record label — Born To Fly Records – last week, Sara Evans has revealed details about her first album on the new venture. Evans’ new album will be tilted Words and is set for a release on July 21. Words will be Sara’s first studio project in more than three years and follows seven albums which she recorded for Sony’s RCA Nashville label.

 

  • The album will include songs co-written by Evans as well as fourteen separate female songwriters, including Ashley Monroe, Caitlyn Smith, Hillary Lindsey and Hillary Scott.

 

Sara Evans Plots Holiday Tour

Sara Evans will hit the road this holiday season on a 10-city Christmas tour. The tour will kick off on December 3 in Birmingham, Alabama, making additional stops in major markets such as Jacksonville, Florida, and St. Louis. During the tour, Evans will perform some of her biggest hits as well as music from her 2014 holiday album, At Christmas.

 

·         Sara says, “I absolutely love Christmas and look forward to the Holiday season all year long! My band and I have put together a mix of my songs and some favorite Holiday favorites and can’t wait to share them with everyone on this tour!”

March 8th: On This Day

On this day in 2011, Sara Evans’ first studio album in six years, Stronger, landed in stores. The album debuted at number six on the U.S. Billboard 200, and at number one on the U.S. Billboard Top Country Albums chart. The song “A Little Bit Stronger” went to number one on the charts. Evans co-wrote six of the album’s ten tracks.
