On this day in 2016, Dierks Bentley’s “Somewhere on a Beach” sat at the top of the Billboard Country Airplay charts.  The song was the lead single from his eighth studio album, Black, and was Bentley his fourteenth number-one hit on that chart.

The single was Certified Platinum by the RIAA and by Music Canada.

The song reaches the chart’s summit while it continues to make its way up the top 5 on the Billboard Country Airplay, Mediabase and Country Digital Songs Charts. “Somewhere On A Beach” is the lead single from Bentley’s forthcoming studio album Black, out May 27th.

Dierks Bentley’s single “Somewhere On A Beach” is the most added song at country radio this week, with 104 stations on board. To make this news even more exciting, the brand-new single also immediately shot to #1 on iTunes’ Country Songs upon release. The new single hit radio just as Bentley simultaneously announced his “2016 Somewhere On a Beach Tour,” which is set to launch with a series of dates in Europe this spring.
