Florida Georgia Line Will Collaborate With Bebe Rexha

Florida Georgia Line has added new collaboration to their resume, teaming up with pop star Bebe Rexha on the track “Meant to Be” from her forthcoming EP, All Your Fault: Part 2. Brian Kelley recently confirmed the news when he tweeted the word “Truth” in response to Music News & Rumors’ post about the possible collaboration.

 

  • This is just the duo’s latest cross-genre partnership following their collaborative song “Last Day Alive” with The Chainsmokers, as well as their current Top 5 single “God, Your Mama, and Me” with the Backstreet Boys.

More Performers Added to CMT Music Awards

The list of performers at the upcoming 2017 CMT Music Awards has grown with the addition of Kelsea Ballerini and Little Big Town to the lineup. The show will include previously announced performances Blake Shelton, Brett Eldredge, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert and Thomas Rhett, with all-star collaborations by The Chainsmokers and Florida Georgia Line, Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood and Lady Antebellum with Earth, Wind & Fire.

Brett Young Reaches A Platinum Milestone

Brett Young’s single “In Case You Didn’t Know” has been certified Platinum by the RIAA, making Brett the only country artist to earn this distinction for a song released in 2017.  The milestone, which signifies sales of one million copies, comes as “In Case You Didn’t Know” approaches the top of the country charts after only 20 weeks of climbing.

 

  • Young joins artists Ed Sheeran, Future, The Chainsmokers and Katy Perry with platinum certifications for songs released in 2017.

Collaborations Announced for CMT Music Awards

Several all-star collaborations have been announced for the upcoming 2017 CMT Music Awards, including cross-genre pairings from Florida Georgia Line with The Chainsmokers as well as Lady Antebellum with the legendary Earth, Wind & Fire. The night will also include superstars Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood performing live together for the first time on any CMT stage.

 

·         These acts will join previously announced performers Blake Shelton, Brett Eldredge, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert and Thomas Rhett from Nashville’s Music City Center on June 7 at 8 PM ET. Additional performers will be announced soon.

Sam Hunt Added to Billboard Music Awards Lineup

Sam Hunt will take the stage at the upcoming 2017 Billboard Music Awards (BBMA) to perform his multi-week chart-topper “Body Like a Back Road.” Sam’s BBMA performance will mark his return trip to the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, where he serenaded his then-fiancée Hannah Lee Fowler with the very same song at the ACM Awards.

 

·         Sam joins a long list of performers that includes Florida Georgia Line, Drake, The Chainsmokers, John Legend, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran and more.

·         The Billboard Music Awards airs live from Vegas on Sunday, May 21 at 8 PM ET.
