Last night at approximately 6:44 in the evening, Mahaska County 911 Center took the report of a 2 year-old female that had been found in a family pond unresponsive.

Medical and law enforcement personnel responded to northern Mahaska County, where CPR was already in progress.

The female was transported to Mahaska Health Partnership where the 2 year-old was pronounced deceased.

No other details have been released from the Mahaska County Sheriff’s Office.
