TWO OTTUMWA RESIDENTS ARRESTED FOR POSSESSION OF METH

Two Ottumwa Residents Arrested For Possession of Meth

On Wednesday, at approximately 7:00 a.m., officers from the Ottumwa Police Department, Wapello County Sheriff’s Department, US Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Southeast Iowa Inter-Agency Drug Task Force, executed a search warrant at the James and Brandie Grace residence located at 102 S. Van Buren, in Ottumwa.

As a result of the search, officers seized items consistent with the distribution of methamphetamine, marijuana, 2 loaded handguns, and US currency.

James Alan Grace, age 45, was arrested and charged with the following:
· Possession with the Intent to Deliver More Than 5 Grams of Methamphetamine, a Class “B” Felony.
· Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, a Class “D” Felony
· Failure to affix a Drug Tax Stamp, a Class “D” Felony
James Grace is currently already on Federal Parole for drug trafficking offenses.

Brandie Lee Grace, age 39, was arrested and charged with the following:
· Possession with the Intent to Deliver More Than 5 Grams of Methamphetamine, a Class “B” Felony.
· Failure to affix a Drug Tax Stamp, a Class “D” Felony

Both of the Grace’s are being held in the Wapello County Jail.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation and a defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
