On December 31st, 2016 at approximately 7:29 a.m. the Wapello County Sheriff’s Office received a call from the 5700 blk of Monroe-Wapello Rd reporting that a male had broken into the a residence and was threatening the occupants.
The Deputy arrived at the residence and the suspect ran from the residence and into a large wooded area. The suspect identified as Kelby Klicker surrendered peacefully and was taken into custody at approximately 12:08 p.m.
Klicker was charged with Burglary 2nd, Assault while participating in a felony, violating a no contact order, 2 cts of Obstruction of an emergency communication and 2 cts of False imprisonment. Klicker is being held in the Wapello County Jail on $15,000.00 cash only bond.
The Wapello County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Wapello County Sheriff Reserves, the Blakesburg Fire Department and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
