With Governor Reynolds recently making a disaster declaration for Wapello County and four other counties, the Iowa Department of Revenue has granted an extension and suspension of penalties for anyone whose main residence or business is in those counties.  If the original or extended due date is between April 1 and May 31 of this year, the extended deadline is now June 30. This applies only to state taxes and not property taxes or any county or local taxes.
