WOMEN’S SOCCER EARNS NSCAA ACADEMIC AWARD

Women’s Soccer Earns NSCAA Academic Award

Oskaloosa–The Statesmen women’s soccer team continues to receive recognition for its strong work in the classroom last year as the National Soccer Coaches Association of America announced its list of Team Academic Award winners.

WPU was one of 893 total soccer programs (315 men, 578 women) throughout the country (all divisions) to collect the 2015-2016 honor.  The team owned a 3.14 collective Grade Point Average.

To qualify for the award, a team must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 for the entire year.  The team GPA is determined by adding every player’s GPA, then dividing by the number of players.

The full list of team academic award recipients can be found at http://www.nscaa.com/web/News/Articles/October_2016/NSCAA_Announces_2015-2016_College_Team_Academic_Award_Winners.aspx
